Actor Michael Madsen will be attending to receive the 2011 AFF Maverick Award and screen a retrospective of his work to include Hell Ride which features Dennis Hopper, and Reservoir Dogs, Executive Produced by 2010 AFF Maverick Award Winner, Monte Hellman.

2011 AFF DENNIS LEE HOPPER AWARD

The award recognizes outstanding achievement in film and the related arts and is awarded to an individual with a persistence of vision that reflects the independent spirit of Dennis Lee Hopper, founding father of AFF. We will show a retrospective of Mr. Stockwell’s work including his personal favorite Married to the Mob, which he was nominated for an Academy Award and art house favorite, David Lynch’s Blue Velvet, which he stars opposite Dennis Hopper.

Marvel Games Marvel Games Vice President Todd Jefferson
to host panel on Games, Comics & Movies.

Jefferson, who has 14 years of experience in gaming at places including Activision, Pixar and Disney, is currently working on Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which is slated to launch next month — as well as the two film tie-ins Sega is handling: Captain America: Super Soldier and Thor: God of Thunder.
